Resources are limited in Madden Mobile 16. Stamina and money run out quick, so spend wisely. If you’re starting out, here are a few tips to get you going.
1) Don’t hit the auction. Especially at the beginning of the season. The auction is expensive and there’s no real benefit to getting top notch players early unless you’re just collecting players. Wait until Spring when supply will have increased and prices dropped. For now, spend your money on Pro-Packs. There is one exception to the no-auction rule: get a kicker early if your main goal is rivalry play. Check out why in my post, “Tips for Success: Rivalry Rankings”.

2) Buy Pro Packs only. Don’t spend money on other packs like Legends packs or any other packs. You’ll regret it if you do. Some of the “Premium” packs are expensive. Sometimes $70K, and you’ll often get junk. It’s better to buy a Pro Pack six times for that much money. Pro Packs will give you good players. For example, I pulled Aaron Rodgers (Rated 90) from a Pro Pack. I also pulled several Mystery Packs, one of which was Cam Newton (90). I auctioned Aaron Rodgers for $100K and spent all of it on Pro Packs. From the $100K worth of Pro Packs, I pulled Latavius Murray (88), Luke Kuechly (89) and Alex Boone (84). The other players I used toward other sets that resulted in more goodies. Buy Pro Packs.

3) Spend Stamina on easy-to-win live events. First of all, win every live event at least once. You get extra cash for first-time wins. And then focus on easy-win, big-return events. Focus first on short-term events like seasonal and other weekly events. And then move onto the recurring live events. Road to Riches is a priority. Do the Ring or News events only if it’s easy to win. Otherwise, win those once and forget about it. Return on those aren’t great and you’ll sit on duplicate News and Ring cards. Play Scrimmages instead. Those give you cards that can be exchanged.
Some live events are better than others.
4) Finish the Team Sets. These are relatively easy to complete. Each team requires 3 Bronze Players, 4 Silver Players, 2 Bronze Trophies, and 3 Silver Trophies. May take some time, but if you’re buying Pro Packs like you should, it’ll only take a few weeks to complete all team sets. You receive one Gold and 2500 coins for completing the set – not a great reward but get these sets out of the way, which will help you with your season score at the end of the season.
Get Team Sets out of the way.
5) Don’t try to complete Captain Sets. Those will come but no need to hit the auction or tie up Gold players until you’re ready. If and when you receive the team collectible and an elite player to spare, then go for it. Otherwise, let it be, no need to hit the auction block to complete a set that will ultimately result in a Rated 90 team-boost player.
6) Complete the Flashback Pack not Elite Pack. The Elite pack requires 11 Elite, 2 Gold, 1 Silver, and 2 Bronze Trophies. The Flashback Pack requires 17 Elite and 7 Gold trophies. Those extra 6 Elite trophies may seem like a lot more, but the payoff is much greater. I received Vince Wilfork (Rated 86) from an Elite pack. I got a Flashback Antrel Rolle (93, Boost: 2% XP, +1 ACC to all) from a Flashback Pack. That’s a huge difference.
Elite Packs are okay, but….
…Flashback Packs are better.
Rolle was the reward for completing a Flashback Pack.
To acquire trophies, but Pro-Packs, use extra players to turn into trophies and then upgrade trophies to Elite.
Turn unwanted players into trophies.
7) Join a good league. League play doesn’t require too much stamina. Maybe 3-6 every couple days. But winning league tournaments and head-to-head matches will help you complete achievements and give you cards to complete sets and other rewards. Low investment, ok rewards.
8) Put Gold players up for Auction. Gold Players with ratings under 80 won’t fetch much – I exchange these guys for trophies. Any Gold Player with 80 or above fetch decent cash. Sell and then use the cash on Pro-Packs.
9) Play Seasons only if you really want to. I’m not a big fan of season play. Too much stamina and time. It’s a good way to practice plays, and you get $1500, but to complete an entire season is grueling. Play Seasons to get achievements and a few cards, but focus stamina and your time on other pursuits.
10) Most of all, keep playing the game! See you on the field.

I think there are multiple ways to get good. I think the first thing any player should do is a join a league the plays a lot. Jerry Rice (99) Smith (99) and Hester (99) all came from playing in a league, plus many, many other good items. My next advice would be use trophies for the large quick sell and then use those coins to buy items that complete sets or to hunt elite players. The Legend packs and Road to ring have been nice to me. I am sitting at 95 OVR, lv P6, 3.6M fans. There are many different ways to do well in this game.

What is up with the Legends players?? The Live Events first introduces you to getting a new Legend by getting you to complete a 3/3 event which will get you your first collectible for that Legend but their arent any other events for that same Legends player?? How are we suppose to go after a certain Legend when no events become available to complete the set??
Pack or buy the rest of the collectibles
I’ve built an 86 overall team in just a few days…I bought low on the auctions for elites and only sell gold players above 81 overall. You dont get much but I also sell most master collectibles for high prices. Auctions are valuable when used properly…Find an elite player that you need and type his name in the search tab….check prices and fool around with the max your willing to spend in the Buy Now tab. You may strike gold at times, but if you want to bid, you must bid at times when the auction isn’t hot (past 12am)…also evaluate players stats and dont always think their rating reflects their play. I have had guys with 83 overall be better than 88-87 overall guys the only difference was that some irrelevant category was lacking (awareness, strength-DBs, Finesse moves)

How do you display the simple game without all this gimmicky crap I just want to play with the regular roster like Madden football
True dat. My goal is to just assemble the full Cleveland Browns team on my roster + Gostkowski and Suh because Cleveland’s kicker and the backup DT aren’t in the game. Currently grinding hard to get Bo Jackson, but when I get and sell him, I’ll have the money to buy all the 90+ Elite players I need, and from there on out it should be smooth sailing and just playing occasionally for fun.

How to play:
Get your favorite players that play on your favorite team. Don’t be a bandwagonning ass. Road to Riches are futile in the coin game. Analyze live events before going after them (yields,sets,etc;). If you want to get the good shit, go to the auction…
The best pulls by the way were in the blitz Packs. Opened 6; got 4 elites; 18 blitz tickets; 35,000 coins a pop. Too bad that set ended.
So I started 2 weeks ago my team is 91 all elite. I don’t buy pro backs I went strait to the auction house and learned to get rich. I’m level 25 2 weeks of play time.
If you want a 99 overall Obj then you do everything opposite of what this guy said. Play live events every time they go on. Compete 10 seasons win a lot of league tournaments. And no-life on head to head

I buy pro packs every Time I get them there crap and I’ve only got 1 elite player and I have been playing for about 4 months now I suggest sniping.

I think that Pro Packs are O.K. You have to get lucky. I don’t have a ton of luck, but if you keep buying them, you will receive a decent player. I got a Von Miller (89 overall). This article was helpful and I agree that you should buy Pro Packs because in the long run, they will make your team better.
I get no luck in madden infact I was trying to sell an elite. No one was being him so I dropped the price every time and got mad so I posted him for buy now 101 coins and no one bought him

I have found your articles very interesting and informative, except for this comment about pro packs. They are lame! To prove my point I spent 120,000 coins on pro packs. The result 16 gold players with highest at 82, 32 silver players, and the rest bronze. all useless! No most feared. No elite. Just garbage!

My team is 91 over all 2 weeks I been playing. Auction house is where it’s at. Have to find your own links all I say is sell instant at low buy now price foe small gains. 4 yours for 2k profit more will get you no where. Obviously find a way to buy cheap. Anyway the rest is my secret I’m sitting on 200k 91 over all team all elit.
