I have been analyzing the new Disney Infinity Trailer. Not for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens playable Infinity characters and gameplay, but to see if I can figure out the movie’s plot points. Here’s my conclusion:
Finn is some kind of a Jedi 007. He infiltrates the Empire to either assassinate someone (Kylo Ren or his boss) or get intel. He gets discovered and he has to fight his way out. He escapes via Storm Trooper costume, and crash lands on Tatooine where he meets Rey, and also probably Han Solo and Chewy. At some point, the Empire renews its attack on the Resistance introducing us to the new X-Wing hero, Poe Dameron. These are all playable characters, by the way.
Finn also battles Kylo Ren in the forest, probably a climactic duel, at :55. The trailer doesn’t show, but I suppose he gets messed up by the dark side, and he barely makes it out alive. At the end he meets up with Luke Skywalker setting us up for Episode VIII….
Okay, probably not, but doesn’t matter. The movie is upon us and so is the new Disney Infinity playset. Long live the Disney Empire!
