All is not well in Halo-land. Colonies are attacked and Master Chief is AWOL. Where in the galaxy is Master Chief Petty Officer John-117?
It’s up to Agent Locke and his team to find him.
The new Halo 5: Guardians launch trailer shows some serious multi-player action. Online campaign mode is the key here. Blue Team and Osiris are the two fireteams that’ll go at it. Covenant better watch out – it’s online co-op!
Besides Master Chief, what else is missing in Halo 5? The beloved split screen. Yes, the FPS offline split-screen late-night basement and pizza battles are no more. Why?
It’s not that they didn’t want it. 343 Industries definitely wanted it, but they couldn’t do it. Not enough time and resources for split screen. It takes time to optimize the split screen gameplay – they didn’t have time, so they cut it.
Will it matter? It’s a new generation. All the old Goldeneye folks like me really don’t play games no more. Everyone’s online. Everyone plays with strangers now. So, it won’t matter….
Garbage!
FPS gaming is still a social activity. I still play with my buddies in their basements. Now we gotta go elsewhere. No more Halo for me. Too many games out there with split screen. I need split screen like Master Chief needs Cortana. Don’t underestimate the Gen X gamer.
Too bad.
For those long gamers, Halo 5: Guardians is out October 27, 2015.
