Link is a killing machine. He’s also a picture on the wall in his latest gig, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Words for the Nintendo 3DS.
Whatever his mission, no matter how impossible, he gets the job done, but he almost always does it with violence. You can say what you want about him being a child, or youth, and doing good rather than evil, but bottom line, he’s a killing machine. In addition to his game-specific powers like time travel and morphing into a merman, he’s got ninja-like agility and swordsmanship.
He learned to kill at a young age, a toddler basically – first with slingshots, then bows and arrows, and swords. He does it with magic, too. There’s got to be some kind of a Freudian thing going on. Having lost his mother in a war, and just the fact he got raised by a tree – how does someone reconcile with that? A tree!
He’s quiet, basically mute, but strong and one hell of a musician, plays just about every instrument there is. He’s good with animals and always goes after the girl. Sounds like the profile of a psychopath.
A ton of violent aggression, but luckily for Hyrule, he’s been able to channel it for good…so far.
